The longer a dog is afraid of a care procedure, the more difficult it is to provide it again in cooperation
What if your dog is scared of being groomed? Doesn’t want to go to the vet anymore? Has trouble with getting on his harness or maybe even worse, you can’t cut your dog’s nails anymore?
If you are training for the procedure with the wrong steps and tools, things can become (and unfortunately often) worse. Your dog might accept it now, but this can turn into shut-down behavior or aggressive behavior. As a result, you and your dog will feel miserable, especially if it is a care act that repeatedly needs to be given. This is not what you would like of course!
How can you give your dog real choice and control? How do you keep him motivated? And what can you do when he needs to receive care but you have not trained for yet?
You might have read and seen some videos about cooperative care, but you still have the feeling that you know too little about it. Your dog makes progress, but you still get stuck at one point. You are missing the practical steps, how do you build up a procedure in the right way from A to Z? More than just: take the nail clippers, touch the leg a little longer and then cut a small piece. You want a good foundation, know how to deal with the underlying emotional feelings and get the practical tools.

Giving care while working together is possible
What would it be like if you know how to give your dog a voice while giving him the care he needs? How you can listen to him even when a procedure must happen? How you can examine and touch his head and the rest of the body while working together? That is what you will learn in this Masterclass!
In this Masterclass you will receive the knowledge and tools that are needed for cooperative care
”Giving dog owners and dog professionals the theoretical knowledge and practical tools to provide cooperative care”
My path in cooperative care started a few years ago with my own dog Dyfra. She was so scared when we tried to trim her nails that neither myself or our groomer could trim her nails. Dyfra started to freeze and was on the edge of biting, she was feeling awful every time it needed to be done (and so was I). That’s when I realized this needed to change. Thankfully, I discovered ”Cooperative Care” and started to learn more and more about it. I took lessons, discussed with a lot of trainers how to build it up and I dove deep into everything that was to find about cooperative care. It became my goal to spread to show that cooperative care is possible for every dog.
